Interesting thoughts by all. And it's giving me a clearer picture of this situation.
Maybe, but I do not need a clear picture in front of me to know when it is time to turn the damn thing off and I intend to do so, at this point. *click*

Personally my amusement was because it was such a godawful pic. Why does the fact that its a bloke dressed as a woman mean he deserves special treatment? Or is it different because its a recognised potential 'ism'? Because, lets be honest here, if it had actually been a woman in that picture you'd have had a good case of schadenfreude going on- we all have issues, why is that because some choose to share them with the world they deserve to be treated differently??
At the end of the day, he looked a right state and how we laughed and laughed.

On Intensity, there is a thread in Basic Discussion if anyone wants to know more. It is viewable by guests.
Not by me because I am banned since I'm a danger to society. Pea, have you seen my Facebook account?
Briefly. Why do you ask?

Briefly. Why do you ask? *unclick* my curiosity got the better of me and I went and looked at the 2 threads that were discussing GA's status. Glad I did, but, glad I clicked out of there after. Illuminating to say the least.

sorry to be a dissenting voice (am i sorry? probably not, or i wouldn't post), and i've held back so far, but i think it's unnecessary to target GA for her/his tranvestism/transgenderism (or whatever the correct term is - i'm afraid i'm not down with the kids on this one. pyraxis would know).
have a go for her/his behaviour re: your forum, sure, but ripping the piss out of someone's gender issues and choices seems too easy a target, especially given the huge stigma s/he's already battling (and we all know about stigma) as a member of an out-group. i don't care if the person in question is an objectionable git (and i can see why people here think so, although i haven't had any cause to think so on a personal basis): this is a separate issue.
it takes a lot of courage to do what s/he's doing. and s/he'll make mistakes while he finds her/his feet, as it were.
I never knew growing moobs was courageous...

fair enough, people. it was the bullying aspect which is bothering me more, although i'm not well at the moment, and so my usual articulation in expressing myself is fucked (emotional stuff, stress, etc.). i'll say no more on the subject.

FWIW, GA has been holding his own on Idiotssquared, so I can honestly say that he is NOT being bullied. He's matching comment for comment and it IS an idiotssquared issue thats spilled over into here. The issues are squarely between Pea and GA, and partially to Dunc, but mainely Pea and GA. So rest easy, it's not so much bullying as twittery for twattery and merde by any other name would smell just as "sweet". I am only concerned as to how Renaeden is holding up under all this controversy. And her own exertions to build a better life for herself.

To be quite honest I think more of a big deal has been made of what was just a quiet joke thread than needed to be. Some people were amused at an unfortunate picture (not exactly bullying imo) and then felt like they had to explain why this wasn't about an 'ism'. When it was lit's dangly ball picture we were all teasing him about it was no big deal, I don't see how this is any different to be honest and really don't think it merits such 'controversy'.
